YOUNG FARMER DEVELOPMENT GROUPS (YFDG)

Macra Young Farmer Development Groups operate at county level and provide discussion nights and information meetings for young farmers around the country. IFAC Accountants are Macra'as partner for YFDGs in Ireland and Europe.

Various issues of relevance to young farmers are covered by a panel of guest speakers at each regional meeting. Topics covered at past meetings include farm accounts, transfer of land, the Nitrates Directive, GM crops, farm financing and pricing policies with local merchants.
