More Know Your Neighbour Events taking Place than Ever
There's still time to get involved!
The 5th annual Know Your Neighbour Weekend is getting underway with more events than ever in communities across Ireland. The Macra na Feirme initiative, sponsored by ESB, encourages you to get to know your neighbours by organising an event in your community. The weekend officially takes place over the coming weekend, 24th and 25th July but events can be held anytime.
The proceeds of many events are being donated to charity so the benefits are being seen beyond the local communities in which the events are held. Neighbours are a valuable part of everyone’s life, providing support and friendship. Events are taking place in communities across Ireland, in almost every county. Find an event near you by logging on to www.knowyourneighbour.ie.
It’s not too late to organise a BBQ, picnic, fun day or coffee morning in your community. Request an organisers’ pack in three ways:
