Monasterevin Macra team win National ' Kerrygold Club Question Time'
Congratulations to the Monasterevin Macra team from Co. Kildare who last weekend won the national final of the Kerrygold Club Question Time. The event was held in the Castle Hotel, Mainstreet, Macroom, Co. Cork with 26 Macra teams from all over the country competing for the prestigious title and a place on the Macra prize-winners trip.
Members of the winning team, John Boland, Daniel Lawlor, Aisling Ryan and David Lawlor beat off stiff competition from second place Clodagh Macra from North Tipperary and Treble R Macra from Dublin who came third.
This competition sponsored by Kerrygold is intended to encourage members to improve their general knowledge. The All- Ireland final comprises over 100 questions on topics such as Current affairs, Sport, Film, television and Popular Music.
Speaking at the event Macra na Feirme, Lenister Vice President, Tommy Dolan said ‘competitions like these are a great way of bringing people together to enjoy something different from the usual Saturday night out, he also extended his thanks to sponsor Kerrygold for their support of Macra and its many members across the country’.
