Macra na Feirme Comment on Proposed REPS and Disadvantaged Area Payment Cuts

Macra na Feirme National President Michael Gowing has expressed his totally opposition to the Governments proposed cuts, Mr Gowing says ‘farmers received unjust cuts in the previous two budgets and said it is a very difficult year for commodities. The government is once again striking the easy targets of REPS and Disadvantaged Area Payments and we cannot tolerate it or accept it.
Mr. Gowing predicts these proposed cuts will cause extreme anger across the entire farming community.
