Macra na Feirme Congratulates John Bryan on Winning the IFA Election
29 December 2009
Macra na Feirme, National President, Michael Gowing has extended his congratulations to Mr. John Bryan who has been voted in as the Next IFA President. Mr Bryan will begin his four year term at the IFA AGM in January.
Mr Gowing has also congratulated Mr Downey on becoming Deputy President and Mr. Hayes, Mr. Bergin and Mr Divelly on becoming the Regional Vice Presidents of Munster, South Lenister and Connacht respectively.
Macra na Feirme national staff were involved in counting the votes, which is fitting considering Macra’s involvement in the founding of the IFA and the great links between the two organisation.
Mr Gowing says he looks forward to working with Mr. Bryan in the future and highlights that he will have big shoes to fill, when fellow Laois man and former Macra president Padraig Walshe steps down. Mr Gowing would also like to take this opportunity to wish Mr Walshe the very best of luck in his new role with COPA.
