The results of the Macra na Feirme vice-presidential elections were announced in the Irish Farm Centre, Dublin today (Tuesday, 10 April).

Flor O'Gorman from Ballynoe club in Imokilly (Cork) was declared the winner in the Munster race while Denis Drennan from Kilkenny City Macra club has been elected as Leinster vice-president.

These join Thomas Quirke from Abbeyknockmoy, Co. Galway who was elected unopposed for the north-west position.

The three new vice-presidents will take up their positions alongside president-elect, Catherine Buckley, at Macra's AGM on 12 May this year.
