Tipperary Macra Team Win 'Kerrygold Club Question Time' All-Ireland

Macra National President Alan Jagoe was at the national final of Macra’s Kerrygold Club Question Time competition to congratulate winners, Clodagh Macra from North Tipperary, at the weekend. The event was held in the Hamlet Hotel, Johnstown Bridge, hosted by Kildare Macra, with 32 Macra teams from all over the country competing for the prestigious title and a place on the Macra prize-winners trip.
Speaking at the competition, Mr. Jagoe said, “The Kerrygold Club Question Time competition is a great chance for members to test their general knowledge and meet new people. I’d like to thanks our sponsors, Kerrygold, for their support for a fun and challenging competition.”
Members of the winning team, Alan Ryan, Martin Ryan, Patrick Ryan and Laura Ryan beat off stiff competition from second place Millstreet Macra from Muskerry, Co. Cork. Third place went to Kilmacthomas Macra, Co. Waterford.
This competition is intended to encourage members to improve their general knowledge. The All-Ireland final comprises over 100 questions on topics such as current affairs, sport, film, television and popular music.
