Young Farmers Organisation Welcome Partnerships Supports
Macra na Feirme, the young farmers organisation, has strongly welcomed the introduction of a new 50% stock relief provision for all farm partnerships and a 100% stock relief for certain young, trained farmers entering farm partnerships.
Macra National President, Alan Jagoe, said, "As we stated in our pre-budget submission, the family farm model is highly efficient and farm partnerships play an important role in the support of this arrangement. We have a long history of supporting this approach."
"Farm partnerships are beneficial to the farming community in terms of economies of scale, reducing farm costs, improved lifestyle and greater efficiencies.
"Stock relief aids young farmers to build up stock numbers during their formative years of production."
