Macra Ploughing Stand has Another Successful Year
Speaking at the National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska, Co. Laois, Kieran O’Dowd, Macra na Feirme National President, thanked all the visitors and supporters over the course of the three days, “We had President Higgins, Ministers Coveney and Hayes, the Taoiseach as well as thousands of visitors to the Macra stand over the three days. I’d like to congratulate the NPA on another successful year.”
“We had a great time meeting potential new members and discussing young farmer issues. The FBD Young Farmer of the Year, John Buckley, and runner up, Esther Walsh, were on the stand to talk to young farmers while Macra’s Feirme Bodies clocked up some Moves for Macra on their exercise bike.”
Macra na Feirme launched a positive mental health guidebook for the LGBT community alongside GLEN and raise awareness of changes to drivers licenses in relation to pulling trailers.
Carlow Macra were also in attendance to promote the Macra na Feirme Rally which will take place in Mount Wolseley Hotel, Tullow, in October. Laois Macra were on the stand talking to local people about becoming members.
