Macra President sends Condolences to Family and Friends of Sean MacConnell
Macra na Feirme National President, Kieran O’Dowd, has expressed his condolences to the family, friends and former colleagues of Sean MacConnell.
He said, “It is with great regret that Macra na Feirme has learned of the death of Sean MacConnell. Sean was a great journalist who dealt with the topic of agriculture in a way that made its various constituent parts more accessible to the non farming community. He was a stalwart of the agricultural community and a great friend to Macra na Feirme down through the years with his fair and balanced reporting. Our sympathies are extended to his wife and children.”
Sean attended many of Macra na Feirme’s press conferences and annual conferences down through the years and also was a regular attendee at the Macra na Feirme /FBD Young Farmer of the Year final and banquet.
