Organised with the support of the European Commission, the event included the ministerial agenda of the upcoming Spanish Presidency of the European Union as a specific measure dedicated to young farmers. One of the speakers at the event was former Macra na Feirme and IFA president Padraig Walshe in his current role as president of COPA. IFAC is Macra’s partner for young farmers in Ireland and Europe.

IFAC Accountants (Irish Farm Accounts Co-operative Society Limited) is owned by farmers with a board of farmer directors and in recognition of the difficult trading conditions that farmers are experiencing the board has reduced fees by 5% on invoices raised after January 1st 2010 .
