Cork Macra Educational Trip to Brussels – 26-28 March 2012 Carrigaline Macra na Feirme is offering an Educational trip to the European Commission & Parliament in Brussels from 26 -28 March 2012 in association with MEP Sean Kelly for Ireland South. We have been very lucky to organise and secure this trip to Brussels in March 2012. We are going opening it up to all the clubs and regions. It will be like the trip ex MEP Colm Burke organised for Cork County when Mommy Galvin and Daddy Sweeney lead in 2008.This was a quality trip and enjoyed by all! But this one promises to be BETTER........ The trip will include a tour of the parliament, Commission meeting with MEP Sean Kelly and some of the other Irish MEP'S. Meetings will also include with ICOS, CEJA, Michael Treacy of the I.F.A, and info on upcoming CAP reform. It's a great opportunity for Macra members to see what happens in Brussels first hand. The accommodation is being subsidised by the E.U where they will cover up to €250 per person who travels on the trip. This should cover the 2 nights accommodation over in Brussels. The most important part of the trip is the social element of it! They be no fun otherwise. There is a brilliant night life over there with plenty of pubs and clubs. There is alot of tourist sites to visit while there also. Flights: We are flying from Cork on Monday 26th March 2012 11:00am to Brussels. We are flying home from Brussels Wednesday 28th March 2012 14:15pm. Aer Lingus return flights from CORK including taxes and charges €100 (subject to change due to demand). (Anyone that wants to fly out from Dublin this can be arranged) YFDG Groups: We would encourage a few members from each regional YFDG group to go as it will be a great learning curve, interesting trip to attend and invaluable experience.
