Cardiac First Responder Community Level Training

Order of Malta Ireland has joined up with Macra to train all our members in First Aid.  Cardiac First Responder (CFR) is a person trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation & to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).  A responder plays a critical role in keeping a person alive until the commencement of expert medical care.

The Course will cover the emergency management of cardiac arrest, heart attack, choking and stroke.  The care management includes, FAST assessment, (CPR) for adults, children and infants, AED use and Aspirin administration.

The CFR course leads to the award of Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) award which is valid for two years. The course duration is approximately 4 hours. The Order of Malta – Ireland operates an extensive network of Units in 84 communities throughout Ireland. Course only €50 for all Macra members.
