Macra Exchange to Canada

Each year there is an opportunity for 1 Macra member to travel to Toronto, Canada. Next year the dates are May 26th 2012 - 26th August 2012.  The delegate should be between the age of 19-30.  Delegates must pay for their own flight and insurance but will be hosted by the JFAO.  Costs: delegates should expect to pay for activities, tourist attractions etc. Hosts are encouraged to provide most meals however; delegates are expected to pay for some meals out of the home. 

Delegates will typically move to a new host family each week.  There may be times when they may spend 2 weeks with a family.

If a delegate is not participating in the entire exchange, due to the vast size of Ontario, we cannot guarantee they will see all of the attractions they may wish to see. Ie. If not here from May 26^th to June 10th they may not see Niagara Falls.

Grenzenlos – intercultural exchanges

Grenzenlos is an Austrian NGO based in Vienna. It is independent of religions and political bodies. Grenzenlos is a non-profit association. Its main purpose is to promote world peace and respect between people through intercultural non-formal education programmes abroad which combine cultural integration with engagement at non-profit initiatives worldwide.

Internship’s field and tasks: IT

Planning and programming of a volunteer management tool:

-          setting up database

-          designing the form

-          programming the tool

Trainee’s profile:

-          good level of English or German

-          experience in programming with PHP and SQL

-          knowledge of javascript, Jquery is appreciated

Intership’s length and duration

1-2 months starting from 16.1.2012 on AND in the months July-August 2012

Internship's framework :

-    The trainee has to come in the framework of the Leonardo da Vinci programm.

The person must have a Leonardo da Vinci funding agreement. The internship is not paid.
